Photo-sharing and saving site Photobucket wanted to see your Favorite Vacation Photos or Videos. You guys submitted over 2,400 fun and gorgeous entries to the campaign. We are so excited to present the winners and their stories.

photobucket GP winnerGrand Prize Winner Jerrica describes winning as “extremely surreal. I screamed. I cried.” As the Grand Prize winner, Jerrica won $750 cash/scholarship, which she has “safely put away in a savings account for college.” Jerrica worked hard to promote her entry so it cracked the top 200 eligible, highest-scoring entries. She says, “I posted on my Facebook, Myspace, Xanga, Blogger, photo forums I was a part of, and I emailed my friends and family every day.  I just tried as hard as I could to get into the top 200 so I would have a chance. Then I just left it up to judges.”

Michael received $250 for his Runner Up prize. He says, “Never in my life have I actually won photobucket Runner Upa campaign like this.  I was thrilled!  I took the cash as my prize and with it, I’ve purchased many Christmas gifts for my family and also donated $50 to my church’s building fund.” His best advice for fellow Brickfishers? “Never shrug off a chance to take a picture and always have a camera with you.  For the past two years, I’ve always carried my camera in my pocket (even around the house).  Many times, I’ve driven past something cool, or just random, and gone back to take a picture of it.  I’ve always just thought of it as something funny to show to my friends or a memory I wished to keep, never in my life did I expect to win cash for doing something I love (like photography).”

photobucket Most Viral winnerMost Viral Winner Lynda was excited to win and says that, “My husband now brags about me that I am an ‘award-winning’ photographer!” She won $300 and says, “I am a full-time college student and my laptop had just gotten the blue screen of death, so the money went towards my new iMac.” Lynda learned of the campaign through the scholarship network Fastweb, and as a result, has entered other campaigns at Brickfish that offer scholarship prizing. When asked for tips to pass along, she said, “Just keep taking pictures and keep submitting! I have submitted pictures to a lot of campaigns and this one finally paid off. Persistence is definitely the key!”
