TRESemmé’s “Strut Your Style” Winner Struts Her Style

The TRESemmé Strut Your Style Contest had Brickfishers “strutting” their fab hairstyles. We loved seeing all of your catwalk-ready hairstyles and now we’re thrilled to present the Most Viral Winner, Savannah.

Already a TRESemmé fan, Savannah was surprised and happy to learn that she had won the Most Viral title. She says, “I have used TRESemmé products for years and I really do love what it does for my hair. My favorite product is definitely the anti-frizz styling cream. I use it every day. I have naturally curly hair and I hate for my hair to feel crunchy or stiff. So what I do is when I get out of the shower I work some of the anti-frizz cream into my damp hair with a tiny bit of mousse and let it air dry. And that’s it. My curls look great and are nice and defined but they look and feel soft.”

As part of her prize, Savannah received a $750 Visa gift card, which she is using towards college books. She says, “Well it’s probably not exciting to anyone else, but I used my winnings to pay for my college books. Those things are expensive!!! So that really helped out a lot.” She adds, “I really had a great time with this campaign. TRESemmé had products that I really believe in so it was really exciting to win. Ouidad Rewards Girls with Curls

If your curls could talk, what would they say? Ouidad asked that very question to Brickfishers, and they responded with over 760 beautiful entries showcasing their fab curls. We are thrilled to present the If These Curls Could Talk! winners and their stories.

Chelsie learned she was the Runner Up Winner on the same day she was notified that she had been selected as a daily winner during Ouidad’s 25th Anniversary product promotion – quite the serendipitous coincidence! She says, “I was so thrilled! I cried a few tears of happiness and excitement! The bizarre part of this is the fact I almost didn’t enter the campaign. I originally wrote my entry on June 2, but I did not post it until July 8, less than a week before the contest closed for judging.”

As part of her prize package, Chelsie received a $150 gift certificate for a makeover at a Ouidad certified ouidad runner upsalon. Chelsie found “a salon located just three hours away on a beautiful, scenic drive! I’m looking forward to having the salon apply Ouidad’s Deep Treatment before my cut, as that is still my favorite product. Climate Control comes in at a close second place!”

We asked Chelsie for curly hair tips. She says, “Conditioning your hair is a huge factor to curl happiness.  I am still learning to fully embrace the gift of my curls because the media has promoted straight/sleek looks for so many years. Let’s change that image! My ‘curly hair tip’ to others would simply be that: Learn to love what you were given! Gifts are meant to be shared with the world, so proudly display your unique curls! As I understand it, around half of all people have some type of curl/wave pattern to their hair. If that’s the case, why are we spending so much time trying to straighten or hide our curls? In the process, we are losing our sense of self and individuality. Rather than spending hours each week in front of the mirror straightening your hair, go enjoy more important endeavors in life!”

Saouidad most viralra was thrilled to win the Most Viral title. She says, “I have been a Ouidad fan for a while now and I know their product does amazing things for curls.  It felt great to just win in general, but the prize was extra special to me!” Sara won a $150 gift certificate for a makeover at Ouidad certified salon in Napa, near her hometown of El Dorado, CA. On top of advocating for the wonders of the Ouidad product, Climate Control, Sara has some curly hair tips for her fellow wavy-haired Brickfishers, “Get a Ouidad cut.  You can use all of the products that you want, and they do help, but a good cut makes a HUGE difference.”

When asked for tips to win, Sara said she worked hard to promote her entry to her friends and across the social Web, especially Facebook.  Sara also said, “I tried to make my entry really different than the rest.”

Army Officer and newlywed Jennifer was ecstatic to hear she had won the Runner-Up prize. She says, “When I saw that email notification in my inbox, I immediately called my fiancé (now husband) and mother to let them know.  I had received an amazing amount of support from my hometown community and my Army family, so right after I found out, I sat down to write an email to all those who had encouraged me. Everyone wished me luck, shared wonderful thoughts, and asked that I please let them know the results!  I was in Iraq at the time, so it meant so much to me to get all that ‘love’ from HOME.”

Jennifer had already gotten her wedding dress (an Amsale design!) and her bridesmaid dresses, so she decided to use her $1,500 gift certificate to buy her bridesmaids “fun” dresses to wear to the rehearsal. She also selected a dress for her honeymoon – “a beautiful long blue gown that I knew would look and feel great on the beaches of Mexico.” She says of her prize, “I was able to get FIVE dresses from the amazing bridesmaid collection.
